Don't judge a book by it's cover

So I've been listening to a song called Starry Eyed by Ellie Goulding. I love the song! It's so upbeat and catchy that you can't listen to it just once. When I first heard the song I thought she would look a lot different then what she actually looks like. My imaginiation developed the image that she would be some little petite girl with brownish reddish hair and straight across bangs and would be a total "hipster". But as soon as I looked her up I was devistated. I mean not like I don't want to ever listen to her ever again but her sound just confused me with the way she looks.

I was pretty surpirsed that she was a blonde curly haired bright-eyed pop star looking girl. by her looks you would think she would be singing duets with brittany spears and making guest apperances on disney channel.

But as I looked up more pictures and facts about her I realized that she is actually a "hipster in disquise."

So she really is a hipster. I was pretty happy when I found this out. so I looked up a few of her songs and The Writer is a very beautiful slow song. It is all acoustic and it just sounds very pretty. You can still hear her upbeat sound throughout the song which is very nice. Fighter Plane sounds really sycodellic like Starry Eyed in a way but not in the same manner. I don't enjoy this one as much as The Writer but it is very slow and pretty. Guns and Horses reminded me of Kate Nash, a very wonderful singer/songwriter from the UK. I love the sound of Kate and this song really reminded me of her in so many ways. Black and Gold, the last song I listened to by Ellie starts out very upbeat just like Starry Eyed which I enjoyed very much. I love when she sings upbeat techno type songs like this.
